Lunch at our summer farm, Lykkjesetra (Thursdays)

Every Thursday during the summer season, we invite you to lunch at our summer farm or ‘seter’. Lykkjesetra sits in an area of meadows at Jønnhalt. The "budeia", or milk maid, serves a hearty lunch of sour cream porridge and cured meats. This is followed by sour cream waffles with seasonal berries for dessert. In season we serve delicious strawberries, grown locally.
Lunch is prepared in the traditional way on the farm’s wood-burning stove. The budeia tells you about the local food and farming traditions in Gudbrandsdalen. She shares stories of growing up on a dairy farm.
To reach the summer farm you can walk or drive there or book transport with us. We will give you good directions!
